Norweave
Norweave is the English name for a needlepoint originating in Scandinavia (Norweave after Norway). Although is it generally a generic term for embroidery done on canvas, it refers to a couple of widely used stitches. This class will concentrate on the Gobelin or satin stitch. When the canvas is completely covered, it is usually called klostersöm (cluster stitch) using.

Stumpwork 101 – Berries and Leaves
Dictionaries define Stumpwork as ‘elaborate raised embroidery of the fifteenth to seventeenth centuries using various materials, and raised by stumps of wood or pads of wool. ‘ In the seventeenth century it was called raised embroidery or embossed work. Later, it became know as ‘embroidery on the stump’ because of the small stumps of wood used to raise parts of the embroidery. IN this class, you will learn how to make several kinds of berries and leaves using different Stumpwork techniques.
Needle Felting
Needle felting is the only felting type that does not require wetting the fibers in the process of bonding the fibers together. The needle simply hooks onto fibers with specially placed barbs and forces them to tangle. There is only really one step to needle felting, which is to poke fibers with a felting needle until it tangles to the desired effect. There are several techniques, however, which you will learn in this class.
